Qatar (Doha) 2022 World Cup or England???

Qatar (Doha) 2022 World Cup or England???

With the FBI investigating alleged corruption at FIFA the chances of Qatar holding the World Cup in 2022 hang in the balance. Sepp Blatter has already announced he will be standing down as FIFA President. Interpol have put two of FIFA’s former officials on its wanted list.

John Whittingdale, the culture secretary, seems to feel confident that England is prepared and willing to host the 2022 event.

The question is what will Qatar do with all those stadiums if it loses the right to host the World Cup?

Will an Arab country ever get the chance again?

It all sounds very pessimistic but we shall have to wait and see what the outcome is.

At the end of the day its only football…isn’t it?
